President’s Message
The President’s Message
Our company-wide commitment to quality has never changed. It never will. But sustaining our level of commitment can create a stressful environment following significant weather events. We have high expectations of our Production Crews. They are highly skilled and extensively trained to provide quality tree care. To maintain that standard we do not hire temporary staff to meet the demands of unusual events. With the storms this past summer our backlog of work has grown to a level that creates scheduling challenges for you—our client, and for our staff. The damage to the trees in some neighborhoods was extensive. According to news reports, one storm was the worst in the electric company’s 100-year history. However, in spite of extraordinary events we choose to maintain our standards and contend with a backlog of work. Our philosophy stipulates that sacrificing quality is not an option. I ask for your patience and understanding as we work to meet these challenges.
It is a distinct honor to work with clients who care enough about their trees (as you do!) to request expert tree care. As a company, we are privileged to work with people who view trees as valuable assets that provide benefits which science is just beginning to understand. Trees provide aesthetic qualities, but they are much more than simple “art forms”. Trees provide for the very health and well-being of the communities we call home. To emphasize their significance, a listing of the “Benefits of Trees” is included in this newsletter. The listing can also be found on our website at www.arborilogical.com/articles/benefit_of_trees.htm. As caretakers, or stewards of these living treasures, which include the trees in your yard, our employees know we contribute to society in ways that are not always clear to everyone. Sometimes it is difficult to respect what we do not fully understand. Learn about what trees do for you and demonstrate your respect!
There is one important final note. The much anticipated and highly valued First Men’s Garden Club of Dallas’ 2005 Calendar (old varmints without garments) is now available. Proceeds benefit the club’s scholarship fund and other worthy community programs. Visit the club’s website at www.dallasgardeners.org for more information, or contact John Hunt, Calendar Sales,
972-907-9911. Why would a prominent tree care company promote such shenanigans? The answer is pure and simple: FUN! Life is too short to miss an opportunity to smile!
Thank you for your continued support,
Steve Houser
President
