Dr. Greg Church

Dr. Greg Church joined the staff of Arborilogical Services as a Plant Pathologist and Consulting Arborist in 2017. Dr. Church routinely assists with the diagnosis of plant problems, especially tree diseases. He has a Doctorate Degree in Plant Pathology, is a Certified Professional Horticulturist, and a Licensed Pesticide Applicator. In 2017 he received the title of Honorary Master Gardener by the Collin County Master Gardener Association.

Dr. Church graduated from Plano East Senior High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Stephen F. Austin State University. Dr. Church received his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Church previously worked as a Research Plant Pathologist with the U.S. Horticultural Research Laboratory in Florida. He also served a Research Scientist and Research Farm Manager for the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Chillicothe and Vernon. From 2008 to 2017, Dr. Church served as the Horticulturist and Master Gardener coordinator for Texas A&M AgriLife in Collin County. During his time there, he and the Master Gardeners trained an outstanding group of volunteers. They created numerous educational events and developed numerous Earth-Kind Research and Demonstration Gardens.
