Mr. Russell Peters
Mr. Russell Peters joined Arborilogical Services in 1996 as a certified consulting arborist. Mr. Peters also serves as the company's division manager for the Fertilization and Chemical Department. Mr. Peters assists our clients with all aspects of tree care, such as maintenance, diagnosis, education, consultation, and planning. He has also been an expert witness in many legal cases.
Born and raised in Texas, Mr. Peters earned a Bachelor of Science degree in ornamental horticulture from Texas Tech University in 1982, and a Masters of Science degree in plant pathology from Texas A&M University in 1985. Mr. Peters became an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist in 1989, and more recently went on to become a Board Certified Master Arborist.
Mr. Peters has shared his knowledge and experience through service several times as a board member and twice as president of the Texas Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). He has served as an officer and as a board member of the Trinity Blacklands Urban Forestry Council, the Central Texas Arborist Association, as well as other tree-related organizations.
Mr. Peters studied under Dr. David Appel, Professor of Microbiology and Plant Pathology, Texas A&M University, and completed his master's thesis on Oak Wilt. He has volunteered as an educator within the tree industry and to the public on many tree-related topics, including Oak Wilt. He is recognized as one of the foremost experts on this deadly disease in North Texas.
