Golden Pen

The following letter from Bill Seaman has won The Dallas Morning News' Golden Pen Award for August. Mr. Seaman, a Richardson resident, is president of the Dallas Historic Tree Coalition. His letter appeared August 26. Letters are chose for clarity and writing style and not for viewpoints.

Our Legacy

Someday, in the not-too-near future, I will take my grandchildren downtown and show them Dealey Plaza, and tell them who G.B. Dealey was. We'll go to the Nasher Sculpture Garden and I will tell them about Raymond Nasher. We will visit the Symphony Center and I will tell them who Morton Meyerson is. We'll visit the Annette Strauss Artist Square and I will them about the former mayor. Then we will go to the Latino Cultural Center Performance Hall and I will tell them about Jose Cuervo.

Bill Seaman, Richardson
