Nick Schiwitz joined the Arborilogical Services team in 2022 as a Certified Consulting Arborist and Degreed Forester. During his tenure, he has become Texas Oak Wilt Qualified and Tree Risk Assessment Qualified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA). He also has a growing passion for landscaping with native plants and has become a Certified Native Plant Landscaper by the Native Plant Society of Texas to better serve his clients.
Nick was born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and holds a Forestry degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He worked for the SFA Gardens during college where he helped maintain the university’s expansive gardens and trail systems. Following graduation, he moved back to the metroplex to work as a biologist for an environmental consulting firm where he conducted various environmental surveys and helped orchestrate a greenbelt restoration project for the City of Lewisville, Texas to improve their urban forest. He received his ISA arborist certification during this time and, more importantly, married his high school sweetheart.
Nick and his wife are passionate about the outdoors, spending their free time gardening, hiking, and generally anything else outside. Nick is also an avid runner, having competed in multiple local races. He enjoys serving the Dallas/Fort Worth area and caring for the local trees that helped inspire his appreciation for the natural world.
